ALTRUISM : Showing a disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others; unselfish. (Google Search)
As an Altruistic Guide, I am not attached to your outcome. I will never force or judge your journey. I simply share my experiences and proven strategies that continue to work for me, in hopes that my readers, listeners, audiences, and clients discover a few tools that might work for them as well.
I see so many people paralyzed just surviving day-by-day in fear, guilt, shame, and loss existing only to please others; parents, friends, family, religion, teachers, employers, etc.
I believe we are already coaches of our own lives. Sometimes we feel it is necessary to be nudged and sometimes a gentle firm but kick in the ass is all we need to move forward in a direction. Not a right direction, not a wrong direction...Simply a direction.
In the past I defined myself by the labels others gave me; daughter, a people pleaser, an ex-Catholic sinner, a college graduate, wife, mother of two, friend, a successful business woman working with the largest Fortune 500 companies in the world, and a career in biotech, the other woman, a divorcé, survivor of my oldest son’s suicide, a widow at the age of 52, and now an Altruistic Guide to name the highlights. If you find yourself in any of these situations, I can assure you it is by no accident. It will be painful, but there is a huge opportunity for growth if you allow it and trust the process. I work with those experiencing these same life-altering challenges and wish I had the support of someone brave enough and truthful enough to share their story and offer strategic solutions. Chances are, if you are going through any life altering experience, I've been there, done that! I can not walk your walk, but I will gladly share what has worked for me and how I continue to learn from each experience and appreciate the growth and self awareness each has provided.
Earning a six figure salary plus a six figure bonus annually, working for the world's largest corporations in the world from Xerox in 1987, to Parke-Davis, now Pfizer, the largest pharmaceutical company in the world to ending my 23 year corporate career with Bayer Healthcare, the 14th largest Biotech company in the world. It was out of fear why I stayed as long as I did, and out of love and respect for myself that I left the golden handcuffs of corporate America and Big Pharma to follow my true passion and purpose. I found for me, and the many I have guided, there is a strategy to a graceful exit. As your Altruistic Guide I will share my experiences, offer resources that helped me, and point you in a direction where today you can begin to start creating your own purpose and passion, because I can almost guarantee none of us, when asked in kindergarten what we wanted to be when we grew up raised our hands and proudly announced, "I wanna be a Pharmaceutical Rep!"
This can be a stepping stone and the first step on your journey to amazing!
